Abacus at Bright has been designed for discerning adults who want to holiday in one of the most picturesque towns in Victoria. The impeccable cottages offer luxury, self-contained accommodation for two (and for four) people.

While the region beckons with many highlights in the way of scenic touring, winery and gourmet discoveries, the town of Bright has its own special attractions. Be sure to explore the wonderful paths along the Ovens River, a stone's throw from your cottage, and the town's shops and restaurants are an easygoing 5-minute walk.

Abacus at Bright - perfectly convenient and perfectly presented.

Property Description:
These cottages are still fresh from a complete transformation in mid 2006 when they were gutted and rebuilt. The timber buildings are now far more environmentally friendly, as well as looking bright and contemporary inside and out. Warm as toast in winter and cool in summer. Extra wall and floor insulation, strategic window placement, external sunblinds and deciduous silver birch trees make them easy to heat and cool.

The interiors are finished in crisp whites and greys with polished floorboards in the lounge, a couple of steps up from the rest of the ground floor kitchen-dining area and bathroom. One of the cottages has an extra (queen) bedroom next to the bathroom on this ground level.

The soaring interior space of each cottage accommodates an expansive mezzanine with an appropriately expansive king size bed. Stainless steel balustrades keep the space sleek and open, while more honey-coloured floorboards provide richness and contrast to the white walls and white sloping ceilings. The quality furnishings are comfortably stylish and casual.

The three freestanding cottages dovetail in such a way that each has a generous, private, fully fenced, garden courtyard. A wall of windows with a glass sliding door connects the lounge area and this outdoor entertaining space.

Special Features:
Special Pet Friendly Cottage
One cottage has been set aside to cater for people who like to holiday with their pets. And guests' pets need not be restricted to the securely fenced garden; they are allowed inside to be with their owners. To make them especially welcome, there are thoughtful, dog-friendly items provided. The only charge for guest pets is a flat fee, per pet, for extra cleaning to satisfy health regulations, i.e. not a nightly charge.
