Allanvale Homestead is a grand, historic home providing stylish accommodation, perfect for one or two couples travelling together, and is the ideal environment for elegant weddings.
While the homestead is the perfect base for exploring the Grampians and Great Western's famous wineries, many guests prefer to spend their time relaxing at Allanvale absorbing its unbroken tranquillity, blazing night skies and intimate reflections of earlier days. |

Property Description:
The gracious homestead was designed and built early last century by the renowned architect Desbrowe Annear. It stands amid a rolling landscape dotted with mature trees and the quiet presence of grazing sheep and cattle.
The homestead's immediate surroundings include many leafy English trees, arbours, a lovely walled garden, a tennis court and an inground swimming pool. Inside there is an exclusive self-contained guest wing with three beautifully restored bedrooms, a private sitting room (all with open fires) and a kitchen.

Function / Conference Facilities:
The grand and elegant ballroom provides a superb setting for weddings, dinners and social events. Featuring beautifully carved wood panelling and an orchestral loft above, the two storey room can seat up to 90 guests.
Accommodation is available for up to six in the homestead's bed and breakfast wing and a further twenty guests can stay at the Heritage Shearers' Quarters.

Description of Rooms/Units:
The main bedroom has a king size bed and a hand basin. The second and third bedrooms have a queen size beds and in room hand basins. The principal bathroom is dominated by an antique claw foot bath, and many original features have been preserved throughout the wing without forsaking luxury.
The kitchen has an authentic wood stove, however, there's a microwave and electric fry pan for greater convenience, plus there's a gas barbecue in the courtyard immediately outside the kitchen.
The spacious sitting room has an open fire in winter and a comfortable lounge suite. |
