	Araluen is a distinguished property, ideally located close to the area's major wineries and also not far from the Valley's other attractions such as Healesville Sanctuary, galleries and antique shops. The luxurious, private Villas are designed for discerning couples.

Property Description:
The five acre property spreads across a hillside backing onto King Lake National Park, while laid out in front is a sprawling valley scene. A small stream weaves its way down through the property. Beautiful park-like gardens with sweeping lawns surround the main house, a stunning stone building. The property includes three separate self-contained villas for guests.

The two Villas Omahroo - an indigenous word meaning beautiful views - were built in 2009 using a combination of stonework and vertical Hardie plank so they harmonise with the existing residence and the colours of the landscape. A dedicated driveway leads towards the villas and forks off to each. For extra privacy they are set apart from each other. They are designed with an entrance at the rear from an enclosed deck. The elevated front balcony has a glass balustrade to maximise the view from inside. A dam, a small vineyard, the valley and distant hills compose the picturesque views. The balcony doors fold back wide to promote the indoor-outdoor lifestyle experience. The interior design is contemporary in looks and function with an open plan, studio style layout where the sleeping area merges with the living area. Polished floors, gas log fire, striking rugs, original artwork, luxurious leather sofa, and stainless steel kitchen appliances are among the sophisticated appointments. Quality is evident in the furnishings from the elegant light fittings to the outdoor furniture range.

Villa Ananda - indigenous for peaceful place - is located in the garden near the swimming pool behind the main residence. It has a large private rear patio screened with brush fence, landscaped with a delightful water feature and furnished with sun lounges. The interior offers a more intimate atmosphere and similarly luxurious facilities.

Special packages can be arranged with local ballooning operators, winery restaurant dining and tasting tours, and massage treatments.

Description of Rooms/Units:

The king size bed has silk covered doona and pillows. The ensuite features a luxurious double spa bath, separate shower, heated floor and heated towel rails, large plush towels and bath robes.

Every villa has air conditioning, gas log fire, a large LCD television with DVD player and a Bose Ipod sound system, a music library, and internet access.

The kitchen is equipped with a wine fridge, compact cooktop, oven, drawer dishwasher and Espresso coffee machine.

Meals

Breakfast: Gourmet hampers, featuring locally sourced produce, are provided for guests to make their own cooked breakfast. The hamper also includes a bottle of Yarra Valley Wine, chocolates by Kennedy & Wilson, and fresh fruit.

Dining Options: Dinner packages are available with either De Bortoli winery restaurant, or Eleonore's fine dining at Chateau Yering. Please contact Gretha and ask for the special dinner options.
