Property Description:
The setting may be the temperate forest of the Dandenong Ranges, yet, in almost every other detail, you can imagine you have arrived at an exotic Balinese villa. Twenty-four Balinese lanterns light the path from the gateway Sala pavilion, past the tropical landscaped pond, to the threshold of this amazingly authentic building. Here the glass doors open from the bedroom, which is dominated by a bed of vast proportions, clothed and draped all in white. The base, a hand carved opium bed, stands on a wooden dais, over a marble tiled floor. The ceiling is meticulously woven fibre. Superior materials, workmanship and aesthetics were the foremost consideration during the 18-month long construction period.
Behind the bedroom is an ensuite at the heart of which is a spa pool for two, finished with pale jade-green mosaic tiles, overlooking ferns and forest.
At the other end of the building is the equally dramatic and beautiful "Exotic Room", a living space with inviting daybeds and featuring richly coloured Thai silk furnishings. Outside this room is a cascading deck-walkway leading to the private, thatched roof bale on the lake.

Choose from one of two dining options; a Thai banquet served in your retreat's main room or in the bale on the water (weather permitting), or, the even more special dining experience where an exquisite meal is prepared by your own personal chef.
