A stay in one of the B&B Apartments at Bonza View, nestled on top of Mt Dandenong, is like having your own private, luxury observatory.
Sip your favourite drink while soaking in a hot tub with 180 degree panoramic views from the Yarra Valley all the way to the city skyline and Mt Macedon beyond. By day observe the changing weather roll across the landscape and spot airborne passersby such as hot air balloons, eagles and planes. In the evening picture postcard sunsets are followed by a carpet of brilliant, sparkly, night lights beneath starry, moonlit skies. |

Property Description:
The bold, modern four-storey building rises through the forest on the edge of Mt Dandenong. There are two fully self contained, guest apartments on the top "penthouse" floor, which, because of the steep terrain, is actually at street level providing easy, private access direct to each apartment. As you might expect, glass is everywhere so you can live and sleep in the view. You can even bathe in the view. Each apartment features a hot tub on a covered, corner balcony, with glass balustrades.
The two-bedroom apartment is 10 squares in size and the single-bedroom apartment is 6 squares. Both are furnished and decorated to match the contemporary architecture and the walls are adorned with a gallery of paintings and photos by local artists including your host, Vivienne Carter.

Special Features:
Bonza View has annual competitions for best photo or drawing by a guest. There is also a catalogue of photos of the view, from which guests can order prints.
Massages are available by arrangement.
The forest location of Bonza View offers wonderful walks from the doorstep. A 5-minute forest walk leads to Veranda View café, overlooking the other side of the ridge to the Silvan Reservoir and Warburton Ranges. In the other direction a hearty 30-minute forest walk leads to Sky High restaurant at the summit. And there are much longer forest walks to suit enthusiasts.

Description of Rooms/Units:
The top floor of the building is divided into two corner apartments, each with a balcony with a hot tub.
The larger apartment has two bedrooms with queen size bed. Between the bedrooms is the bathroom with a walk-in shower with a grey marble pebble floor. One bedroom overlooks the hot tub and the sweeping view and the second bedroom has an outlook to the front garden. The living area is furnished with a large dining table, sofa and armchairs. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking the supplied breakfast provisions.
The single-bedroom apartment also has a comfortable living area with kitchen and dining facilities. The bedroom has a queen size bed. Both rooms have excellent views and sliding doors onto the balcony. The bathroom has bath with a shower overhead and a window to the view.
Both apartments have television with Foxtel and DVD player. Internet access is available on request. |
