Property Description:
Over the bridge and through the delightful lush gardens, Candlelight Cottage (c1890) is a beautifully restored original 'hills cottage' offering leadlight windows, timber and brick floors - warm and cosy with central heating in addition to a genuine open fire in the lounge/dining room. The bathroom has a separate shower and a large corner spa that overlooks the private garden, while overhead a glass ceiling reveals the sky.
A beautiful private garden with a waterfall and pond is found at the rear of this cottage.
A Cottage in the Village (c2004) is an elegant period-style cottage designed with an open plan interior. The lounge area features brick floors with stone edge detailing, an open fire and a high pitched ceiling. The split-level floorplan flows through to the bedroom, down two handmade timber steps. The bedroom has polished timber floors, an antique iron bed, a double spa and doors opening onto a private walled courtyard. The ensuite features a double shower.
The romantic, period charm of the cottages is enhanced with antiques and details such as colonial light fittings and fretwork.

Candlelight Cuisine is a choice of delicious meals made by a local restaurant and left in the freezer of your cottage - often an ideal way to settle in on the first night.

Description of Rooms/Units:
Candlelight Cottage offers a more traditional cottage floor plan with two bedrooms, although it is ideal for one couple to enjoy on their own. Authentic period features include an early Kooka gas stove in the kitchen.
A Cottage in the Village (pictured right) reproduces much of the heritage character in the materials and finishes used, while it has the appeal of studio living such as an open bedroom.
Both cottages have numerous similar attributes, including open log fire, double spa with glass ceiling, separate shower, queen size bed, high quality linen, towels, bathrobes and toiletries. They are equipped with reverse cycle heating and air-conditioning, television, video, DVD and CD player, with a selection of movies, CDs, books and magazines. Kitchen facilities include microwave, fridge, espresso coffee maker, stocked with fresh ground coffee and loose-leaf teas. Candlelight Cottage has a laundry for guest convenience during longer stays. |
