Event Description:
Join the winemaking families of the King Valley for their annual winter celebration this Queens Birthday Weekend and enjoy an indulgent weekend of great wine, gourmet food and lively entertainment.
Sample exciting wines including Italian varieties such as Sangiovese, Prosecco, Barbera and Pinot Grigio. Enjoy a range of fabulous food, prepared by renowned local chefs and Italian Nonna's, including dishes influenced by the regions distinct Italian culture; homemade pasta, wood fired pizza, arrancini, salsicce, seafood and decadent desserts.
Be entertained by a range of musicians and activities including: pasta making demonstrations, special wine tastings and lunches, helicopter rides, bocce and a range of activities for the kids - there really is something for everyone.
To participate simply purchase a festival tasting glass for $15 at any of the participating wineries over the event weekend, or at the Wangaratta Visitor Information centre prior the event. The souvenir glass provides entry, wine tastings and access to activities and entertainment and each of the festival wineries: Boggy Creek Vineyard, Brown Brothers, Chrismont, Ciccone, Dal Zotto, La Cantina, Pizzini, Politini and Sam Miranda. |
