Property Description:
Not far from the hamlet of Forrest, this former dairy farm has turned to hosting B&B guests in two studio-style apartments, newly built for the purpose. The owners' house and the adjoining apartments have been configured to maintain privacy for both guests and residents, while still allowing guests to take advantage of a level of service and hospitality more aligned with traditional style B&Bs.
Each guest studio is generously proportioned with discrete areas for sleeping, lounging in front of the television and dining by the window. There's even a spot with a small writing desk. The entire room enjoys the wonderful views of the valley, and large sliding glass doors open to your own area of deck in front. A stylish ensuite completes the interior floorplan.
The deep tones of the rich, polished floors are matched with neutral walls and comfortable, contemporary furniture and earthy hues in the form of bed covers and feature tile work in the ensuite. The beautiful interior, together with the sweeping views that descend to the valley and rise into the Otway National Park, make even the shortest stay a relaxing experience.
The property also offers a hydro-therapy spa and an infra-red sauna, housed in a freestanding building, a few steps from the studio suites. This building's large picture windows and private decking enjoy the same picturesque valley aspect as the suites.

Special Features:
There is an abundance of bird life around the property, and, with a little luck, you may spot a pair of wedge-tailed eagles that make their nest in the adjoining bush.
Forrest is known for its beautiful natural attractions, including Stephenson Falls, Triplet Falls, platypus tours, and many superb forest walks.

Description of Rooms/Units:
The suites are spacious with floor to ceiling windows to capture the valley views. Appointments include a queen size bed with electric blanket, quality linen and a clock radio. The ensuite has a large shower, bath robes, hair dryer, towels and toiletries.
The lounge area has a couch and a LCD television with free-to-air reception and Austar's full range of channels.
The meals area has tea & coffee making facilities, a toaster, a bar fridge and a small range of crockery and cutlery. The room is fitted with reverse cycle air-conditioning.
Both suites have their own private deck area, furnished with outdoor settings crafted locally from beautiful redgum timber. Undercover parking is provided.
If required, guests can make use of the owner's phone/fax and ironing facilities. |
