Harriet's is a cosy, country house that guests can enjoy all to themselves right in the heart of Healesville, a short walk to some of the Yarra Valley's best food. Enjoy a peaceful soak in the romantic slipper bath, unwind on the verandah with a cellar door purchase from the day, curl up in front of the fire or bury yourself under the covers of the king size bed.

Traditional character, modern comforts and thoughtful details, have been interwoven at Harriet's to provide you with a restful retreat from start to end.

Property Description:
This quaint, timber house is an original, typical of Healesville's early 20th century streetscape. Its early occupants probably sat on the verandah with a cuppa, just where its visiting occupants sit today but more likely with a glass of wine. The basic layout and the traditional character of the house have been retained while the facilities have been updated to suit modern expectations.

The main bedroom and ensuite bathroom have been lavished with the most attention. A freestanding slipper bath is the centrepiece of the ensuite, which is also beautifully detailed with period style fittings and a butler's sink to capture a romantic old world ambience. The bedroom is spacious, even with its king size bed, and glass double doors open onto the verandah overlooking the garden.

On the other side of the lounge room, at the rear of the cottage, there is a cosy, second bedroom that can sleep three and a bathroom with a shower.

The house interior is mostly neutral, antique white walls and chocolate brown floorboards with rugs. Furnishings are an eclectic mix of modern and old.

Special Features:
Yarra Valley organic coffee, fresh tea leaves, locally made soap, a ready-to-light fire with a plentiful supply of firewood and weekend papers are provided.
When staying at Harriet's guests can expect complete privacy, although the owners are also more than happy to assist guests with special requests or helping to plan their time in the Yarra Valley.
