Property Description:
Hodgson House is a charming, modern country home nestled between the Wharparilla Flora Reserve and the Murray River. Mighty river red gums come right up to the house. Night lighting through the grounds turns the scene into a magical, spectacular backdrop. The front garden features a pond, while at the rear of the house is a sheltered terrace and swimming pool. From the terrace the view is of the lightly wooded forest with the river a short distance through the trees.
The interiors present a blend of slightly formal period style rooms for lounge and dining and more contemporary fashionable bedroom design. There are two queen size guest bedrooms each with attractive outlooks and sparkling ensuites.

Special Features:
A river track runs from beside Hodgson House following the Murray and Campaspe Rivers in to Echuca's famous wharf precinct - an easy 30-minute walk.
Guests can sit by the River, fish or simply relax and watch the mighty Murray and its passing parade of old-time riverboats and more modern craft plying the water.
In wintertime guests are also able to use the fireplace by the river to enjoy an evening by the campfire - without retiring to a tent to sleep!

Description of Rooms/Units:
The Garden Room is queen room overlooking the garden. The ensuite has a shower over the bath. Vibrant red features in the contemporary dr. A separate entrance provides direct access to and from the front verandah. Guests can sit and relax on the verandah or by the pond, which is lit at night.
The Forest Room overlooks the Wharparilla Flora Reserve. This is also a queen room with ensuite with shower. Its separate entrance accesses a private yard that looks down through the red gum forest to the Murray River. |

| Dining Options: Typically guests frequent Echuca's excellent restaurants and cafes. However, for a special occasion dinner your hosts can arrange for a local chef to cater at Hodgson House, be it in the dining room, the terrace or beside the river. |
