Water from the tsukubai falls into the stone basin. Wind chimes echo a distant past when the tea ceremony and kimono were part of daily life in rural Japan. Here amidst the forest you will find timeless calm and relaxation in a superbly recreated Japanese guest room.
Experience the traditional Japanese way of living, bathing and eating for a getaway that will be the talking point for some time afterwards! |

Property Description: This unique retreat melds classical Japanese design with an Australian setting. This is no token interpretation of traditional styling. You will find yourself emersed – not just in the traditional soaker bath – but in all things Japanese.
The futon bed is surrounded by authentic elements, laid out in a spacious room covered in tatami matting. You can eat Japanese style on floor cushions. There is a discreet but well equipped kitchen. Sliding shoji screens separate the sleeping area from a living-viewing space. Here two deep luxurious chairs will tempt you to while away hours enjoying the view of the lake. Step out onto the dais to observe the night sky. The bathroom is another treat. Slate surfaces retain the texture of nature. The deep spa tub overlooks an authentic enclosed garden.
Traditional Japanese design, with its concern for balance and harmony, is incredibly well suited to the role of engendering relaxation.
|
Special Features: Your Japanese experience can include an authentic Japanese dinner for two with a vegetarian option available.
For your total relaxation, in-room spa treatments are available by arrangement including Japanese deep cleansing facials, Geisha rejuvenation packages as well as a various styles of massage for the rest of your body.
