Representing a perfect getaway for two couples, Lake House Healesville is blessed with a quiet location, lovely views and the comforts of a well equipped home. And for those who love to relax with a massage or beauty treatment there's a special room set up in the house for this very purpose - all the more reason to make your stay a completely rejuvenating experience.

As a base for exploring the region, Lake House Healesville offers easy access to Healesville Sanctuary, Badger Weir and all the attractions of the Yarra Valley, as well as the snowfields of Lake Mountain. A 5-minute walk takes you to forest tracks into the Yarra Ranges National Park or a 15-minute walk can take you to Healesville's town centre.

Property Description:
A signature charm of this comfortable home, on the outskirts of Healesville, is the idyllic vista that lies just across the road. Along the north-facing verandah, the large windows of the lounge, bedrooms and massage room take in the tranquil scene of a beautiful lake surrounded by pasture and framed by trees. In the middle distance, the landscape changes to forest clad hills that are part of the Maroondah Reservoir Park.

The timber house nestles in a garden of deciduous trees and large shrubs where birds frolic throughout the day. The peaceful setting is matched with an interior of cosiness, simply and tastefully decorated. The main rooms have polished floors with scattered woollen rugs. Natural timber is used repeatedly in the architraves, the beams of the living room's cathedral ceiling, timber venetians in the bedrooms and furniture such as the country style dining suite. The micro suede couches also use earthy, natural tones and there are many pieces of pottery, from a nearby gallery, displayed throughout the house. A Tongan floor mat makes an unusual wall decoration inside the front door. A slow combustion wood fire adds to the cosy atmosphere.

Special Features:
A unique feature of the house is the therapy room created for the exclusive use of guests who can enjoy bodywork or beauty therapy sessions within the privacy of Lake House Healesville. The therapist, Joan O'Shea, is a professional practitioner/educator with 20 years experience in the natural health field. Enjoy the nurturing and personalised treatments encompassing a full range of body work services such as relaxation/therapeutic massage, holistic aromatherapy, foot reflexology and more. Discuss any therapies of interest to you when making your accommodation booking.
