Property Description: The timber farmhouse features wide verandas on three sides with lovely views of the setting sun, the idyllic rural scenery and the gardens being enjoyed by native birds. The home is attractively presented throughout comprising three bedrooms, ensuite, main bathroom, a lounge room, separate dining room, kitchen and laundry. The relatively modern design incorporates some Federation style elements, wood panelled feature walls and full-length glass windows and doors.
Whilst the property is not a commercial lavender farm, it derives its name from a mature lavender hedge that lines the main driveway and many other species of lavender growing in the surrounding gardens. The lavender theme continues through the décor of the house and handmade lavender soaps, essential oils and bath crystals provided for guests' use.
The guest farmhouse is part of a five-hectare (thirteen acre) property consisting of paddocks, bushland, a lemon orchard, the separate owners' residence and a sprawling cottage garden where guests are welcome to help themselves to herbs and vegetables in season.
|
Special Features: For families with children there are a range of attractions on the property; children can help feed the animals, collect eggs from the chickens, have a hand-led pony-ride on the resident Shetland pony or fish for redfin in the dam. There is also an in-ground trampoline.
