	La Verveine is a luxurious country retreat on ten acres in the Mornington Peninsula hinterland, between Port Philip and Westernport Bay. This region of the Mornington Peninsula is renowned for its vineyards and idyllic rural scenery. Bay-side and ocean beaches, world class golf courses, boutique wineries, fine dining, galleries and antique shops are some of the diverse attractions to be discovered during your stay. The scope of accommodation and facilities of La Verveine offer the perfect setting for a social getaway shared with friends or family, be it a week long summer vacation or a weekend escape.

Property Description:
The grand, two-storey, five-bedroom residence comprises over 350sqm of floor space. A long driveway sweeps up to the house past flower beds overflowing with roses. Box hedge provide a border around the sandstone exterior with the front porch crowned by a mass of wisteria. The tableau is reminiscent of Provincial France, framed by an Australian landscape.

The main living area has a similar provincial theme with mellow hued floor tiles, a sandstone open fireplace and wrought iron pendant lights and stairwell balustrade. In such a large residence, naturally there are multiple living/entertaining areas including a dedicated home theatre room.

Most rooms have floor to ceiling windows capturing the expansive rural vista. From the upstairs bedrooms the view encompasses Westernport bay and Phillip Island just across the water.

The house is tastefully furnished with pieces from leading Australian furniture manufacturers complemented by a number of beautiful pieces especially created for the home by local artisans. The large coffee table in the lounge is made of just two pieces of timber from a local tree. The redgum dining table is another showpiece of Australian hardwood and the beautifully finished kitchen combines rich timber cabinets with stainless steel bench tops and appliances. The kitchen windows overlook the inground heated pool and outdoor entertaining area.

La Verveine can accommodate small business meetings upon request.

Recreational Facilities:
La Verveine caters for a wide range of recreation activities. In addition to the heated, salt-chlorinated swimming pool there is a table tennis table, exercise equipment, children's play equipment, and expansive lawns that are suitable for petanque, backyard cricket or football.
The property even facilities to accommodate guest horses, with space for riding. Hay can be arranged if required.

Description of Rooms/Units:

The master bedroom is located on the ground floor. It has a king size bed and a dual access ensuite with a shower. Four further bedrooms are located upstairs. One of these has a queen size bed with a large ottoman at the foot of the bed, and an ensuite with twin hand basins, separate shower and bath. The third and fourth bedrooms have queen size beds and the fifth has two single beds. These three bedrooms share a central bathroom with a bath and separate shower.
Linen is available for an additional charge.

The home is equipped with ducted air-conditioning and floor heating, with ceiling fans in most rooms. For family entertainment there is wireless broadband internet, Playstation, DVD, television and a music system with a Bose iPod SoundDock.
A separate study provides a quiet escape.

The dream kitchen has a 900mm Ilve oven and gas cooktop with full size range hood, Other stainless steel appliances include a Miele dishwasher, two door fridge and a microwave.
A separate laundry is equipped with washer, dryer and ironing facilities.

Dining Options: The kitchen is well equipped to handle self-catering for a full house. There are of course many great winery restaurants, other restaurants and casual eateries up and down the Peninsula, with some of the finest in the immediate vicinity.

Short Stay Rate - only available off peak: Weekend - $1200 for two nights. Midweek - $900 for two nights. Extra nights - $300

Off Peak Season: 1 Feb 2009 to 12 Dec 2009. 31 Jan 2010 to 18 Dec 2010.
