Historically significant Magnolia House is one of Marysville's original homes. Privately sheltered in a magnificent garden, the house enjoys a premier location in the very centre of the village.
Linger on the deck beneath the boughs of the Magnolia. Marvel at the colourful birds happy to stop by for a feed. Bask in front of the fire on chilly evenings. Unwind in the spa. Relish the company of friends around the dinner table.
Magnolia House has the atmosphere and facilities to make a get together with family or friends an extra special experience. |

Property Description: The property is named after the massive, spectacular Magnolia at the back of the house. This 100-year-old specimen is now the centrepiece of a vast, split-level deck built around its many-limbed trunk. In early spring the garden bursts into colour with camellias, rhododendrons and azaleas all vying to compete with the Magnolia blooms. Only in Marysville could you expect such a garden in the centre of town.
The timber house is painted in heritage colours on the outside, in keeping with its historic credentials. The inside is another story. Tomato red walls and curtains, framed with white ceilings and trim, over polished Mountain Ash floors creates a dramatic setting for rich furnishings, including a superb leather lounge suite, beautiful timber bedroom furniture and decorative antique pieces. It's an uncrowded look that is carried through to the rear of the house where there is a lighter palette of lemon walls in the open plan kitchen and familyroom, and bathrooms.
The corner kitchen is very modern in style. A woodfire is set into the wall by the dining area. (There's one in the lounge room fireplace also). On another wall is an ornately carved dresser that houses the crockery and glassware. The rustic character dining table is huge and solid, with seating for ten in the still spacious familyroom. Wall to wall windows and glass doors are all that separates the interior from the outdoor entertaining area on the back deck.
