Property Description: The property is situated in one of the secluded, rural areas of the Bellarine Peninsula, inland from Ocean Grove, where Lake Connewarre sits on the Barwon River. Reached by a private access road the 180-acre farm includes 100 acres of flood plain with access to the Lake and surrounding wetlands. The property's core activity is a working olive grove of 1,700 trees.
The homestead and guest cottage are positioned on elevated land, which has panoramic views across the plain to the lake. The pétanque piste enjoys unhindered views, while the guest cottage is tucked away in a peaceful, lush, courtyard garden, sheltered from the elements.
Olive Tree Cottage has a simple elegance about its contemporary structure. The open plan living area has windows and glass doors opening onto the quiet, leafy verandah. Built in to an alcove of the main room is a very serviceable kitchenette. A wood fire, also built-in, provides a central focus. The separate bedroom has an atrium glass ceiling over the bed so you can lie back and star-gaze (with blinds provided to keep the daylight out when required).

Special Features: Local Olive Oil is given as a welcome present, and olive oil luxury soaps, moisturiser and hand cream are provided in the bathroom. Olive Tree Cottage aprons and tea towels are available for purchase as is a range of regional wines, olive oil and other produce.

Recreational Facilities: Pétanque piste with extraordinary views.
Heated swimming pool and separate heated spa. Both are rainwater-filled and ozone-purified. Exclusive access to these facilities is available on request.
Walks on the property include; around the olive grove, along the ridge above the flood plain, or out to the lake. The latter is of particular interest to birdwatchers.

Description of Rooms/Units: The bedroom has a queen size bed, with high quality bed linen, and an ensuite with shower. Bath robes and specialist toiletries are provided for guests' use.
The main living area is furnished with a quality, upholstered sofa, armchair, reading lamp and a cane dining suite. It also has wide screen television with DVD player, enclosed wood fire and reverse-cycle air conditioning. Undercover parking is provided in an adjacent carport with a door into the living area.
The kitchen is equipped with a two-plate ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and coffee plunger. |
