Phoenix Apartments is one of the iconic, central Lorne accommodation options. Staying here allows you to immerse yourself fully in the Lorne lifestyle; saunter across to the beach at any time you please, sample a new café or restaurant each day, and browse the boutiques until something catches your fancy. No need to drive anywhere. Just relax and enjoy the atmosphere and convenience offered by Phoenix Apartments.

Property Description:
In the main shopping strip of Lorne there's a rather unusual, modern, wrought iron gateway, with the name Phoenix Apartments above it, that leads to a private courtyard around which the apartments are located. The apartment balconies overhang this courtyard, framed by slender cypress trees, while the studio units open out onto decks just above ground level. The central space is licensed, so guests can sit and enjoy a drink by the eclectic fountain.

The modern apartments were designed by architect, Chris Connell, in what was a major conversion from the original purpose of the building as Lorne's squash courts. The two top most apartments have full ocean views from the living room and balcony. Below these the next two apartments have partial ocean views. These four apartments each have a separate bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and open plan living area. The Studios on the other hand have the one combined living/sleeping room, plus kitchen and ensuite.

Each apartment has full cooking facilities and features polished timber floors, and simply designed, hand crafted wooden furniture. The decor is deliberately minimal to maximise the interior spaciousness. Both styles of apartment have a large sliding glass panel opening onto the balcony or deck. Stainless steel balustrades complement the light, airy style of the balcony apartments.

Description of Rooms/Units:


There are two apartments on the top level with full ocean views. These have a separate bedroom with queen size bed. Guests who require full view apartments should specify this at time of booking.

Two more apartments, with partial ocean views, are located on an intermediate level. These have sleeping accommodation for 4 people. This comprises a separate bedroom, with a queen size bed, and a double fold away bed built into the living room wall.

The bathrooms in the above units feature a deep bath with an overhead shower.

There are two Studio units which have the sleeping area (with queen size bed) and living area in the same room. The Studio ensuites feature a large walk in shower.

All apartments have hydronic heating and kitchens equipped with oven, cooktop, fridge and microwave.

Bed linen is provided. Fresh towels are supplied daily.

Private parking is available at the rear of the building where there is straightforward access to all units.

Deposit: 50% on booking
Cancellation Terms: Peak Season bookings: less than 7 days' notice - deposit retained. Off Peak: less than 48 hours' notice - deposit retained.
