The Potager can be the inspiration for a weekend of adventure; a cosy retreat for reflection or for reviving jaded spirits. You are certain to find the Potager on Golden Point entirely enchanting and memorable.

Property Description:
The cottage was built of local sandstone in the 1850's when Victoria was in the throes of gold fever. Added to and renovated over the years, the cottage is designed around a superb living area with exposed stone walls, a huge open fireplace, slate floors and floor to ceiling glass doors. Decorated with tastefully relaxed flair, the interior is comfortably rustic. Eclectic pieces imbue the place with personality. There is a library full of books, a dining table that can seat 10 and a fully equipped farmhouse kitchen with a breakfast area.

The grounds are another highlight of this appealing retreat. The 4½ acre established garden is sited along Forest Creek. The driveway is lined with towering lombardy poplars which in Autumn provide a brilliant display. Key to the property's namesake is, of course, le Potager or the kitchen garden. A vast herb, vegetable and flower garden has been laid out in a semi-formal plan. Raised beds with stone walls, winding paths, roses, herb borders and perennial beds to create a rich and fragrant tapestry. Like any good Potager it has espaliered fruit trees as well. As if all this wasn't enough there is also a huge swimming pool behind a rose hedge.
