Property Description:
This is one of a handful of properties located in this particular pocket of privately owned real estate sandwiched between the Great Ocean Road coast and the Great Otway National Park. You can wander into the National Park, 50 metres away, or take a 10 minute walk down the track to the rugged beach across the Great Ocean Road. Even in mid summer you won't find any crowds here. And the property is certainly peaceful and secluded in its bush surroundings.
The unpretentious cottage is located at the rear of the property and quite independent of the main residence. It's a charming hotchpotch of old and new, but it's no less comfortable for that and it's full of light. It has a homely character that reflects the very personal, care and attention of the owners, who have endowed it with a welcoming personality. The interior is spacious, the walls are colourful, the floors are polished timber. The bedroom is elevated but fully enclosed, with internal windows overlooking the main living room as well as external windows to the surrounding bush. There are big armchairs by the wood-heater in the main room to the side of which a glass sliding door opens to the large sunny deck. The main room is a large space with the kitchen running around the wall to the front door, a table and chairs in the middle an another sitting area for watching television or gazing out the corner windows to the tree tops. The bathroom is equally quirky where you can enjoy a bush view from the bath tub.

Description of Rooms/Units:
The cottage has one bedroom furnished with a queen size bed with linen provided.
The bathroom has a toilet, vanity unit and bath with and overhead shower. Guests are asked to bring their own towels.
The main living room has a wood heater, two armchairs, a settee, dining table & chairs, and various coffee/corner tables. Entertainment equipment includes television, DVD player and CD player.
The kitchen has a two-ring hotplate, microwave oven, small fridge and the usual utensils, plates etc. Outside on the deck there is a large gas barbecue, plus outdoor chairs, table and sun umbrella. |
