Property Description:
This beautifully restored timber cottage (circa 1870) is a prime example of classic, small Victorian cottage architecture. The restoration has highlighted the original floorboards and timber ceilings, and a gas log fire has transformed the period fireplace into a practical as well as ornamental focus of the lounge. The fireplace in the second bedroom also has a carved timber surround. The wingback lounge suite fits in perfectly with other antique pieces including a tiered "whatnot" holding delicate trinkets and a tea trolley with a decanter of complimentary port and bowl of chocolates. In fact, while not looking particularly cluttered, there are collectibles in most corners of the house. Anyone with a interest in nostalgia will find plenty to fascinate them.

In addition to the four original cottage rooms at the front - now serving as a lounge room and three bedrooms - is a recent extension integrating all the desirable modern amenities of an ensuite to the main bedroom, a principal bathroom with a corner spa, a combined kitchen and dining room, a separate toilet and a laundry. The back patio has an outdoor setting and barbecue. This position overlooks the Banyule State Park.

Description of Rooms/Units:

The main bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed with a brass bedhead, bedside tables with lamps and a clock radio, dressing table and wardrobe. This room has a full ensuite attached. The second bedroom features an original Victorian fireplace and an antique Singer sewing machine, as well as a queen size bed with a wrought iron bedhead, bedside tables and wardrobe. The third bedroom has two single beds with wrought iron bed heads, bedside tables, dressing table and wardrobe. All linen is included.

The main bathroom has a large corner spa and a separate shower.

The lounge is equipped with a gas log fire in the Victorian fireplace and a television and DVD player concealed in a cabinet. The combined dining and kitchen room has a round dining table that seats six, and the antique buffet holds old books and a chess set. The kitchen facilities include every modern convenience such as oven, four-hotplate cooktop, microwave, dishwasher and ample cupboards and bench space. A washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board can be found in the laundry.

Breakfast: Breakfast provisions are optional and include bacon and eggs, bacon, fruit, juice, cereals, bread etc.

Dining Options: Self-cater or dine out. A good country pub is located 100m away, or discover a great range of restaurants and casual places to eat in Echuca and Moama (approx. 2km)
