Discover the ultimate secret destination for couples at Woodlands Rainforest Retreat

Property Description:
Travelling through the Black Spur, with its soaring mountain ash forest, is a fitting prelude to this magical hideaway. The four self-contained bungalows are immersed in pristine rainforest. Each one is located in its own secluded setting on this 16-hectare native woodland property. They have been architect designed to marry with their surroundings while offering the physical and aesthetic pleasures of luxury accommodation. Just as a 'hide￿ in a nature reserve provides a concealed vantage point to observe wildlife undisturbed, these bungalows adopt a similar approach to their environment. Through the huge windows and from the deck of each bungalow there are beautiful scenes of fern gullies in the dappled light of the high canopy - a world inhabited by endearing native animals and birds. A private bushland lake and the babbling flow of Hermitage Creek add to the contemplative beauty.

The bungalows have been crafted using local materials such as the radially sawn, yellow stringybark exterior cladding, polished mountain ash floorboards and myrtle beech benches. The large brick chimney anchors the structure, in counterpoint to the sections of glass which serve to draw the bushland into the interior and float the roof in mid air as it were. The open plan, split-level interior, captures wonderful height and space.

When night falls, a wood fire burning in the open fireplace is conducive to contentment and romance, just like everything else here. Adjoining the bedroom is a 'spa room ' where a huge, oval, therapeutic-quality spa is set into the heated, tiled floor. A bi-fold glass wall opens onto the large deck and the outdoor environment.

Special Features:

Gourmet Food Service
So you may fully enjoy the delights of fireside dining in winter or alfresco dining on the deck in the warmer months, quality, fresh, chef-prepared meals, with detailed reheating instructions, can be delivered to your bungalow. Choose from a complete three course meal, a platter of local delicacies, or a gourmet barbecue pack.

Massage
Fully accredited local massage therapists can provide aromatherapy relaxation massages for two simultaneously, in the comfort of your bungalow.

Wildlife Experience
Being secluded amidst a temperate rainforest guests have a front row seat to spy native animals and birds going about their usual activities - perhaps an echidna ambling along the forest floor, a wallaby grazing, a possum on its nightly foraging. The most attentive observer may even spot a platypus cruising the lake.
