Gippsland

Gippsland and the Lakes district is a spectacular and perhaps "lesser known" Victorian touristdestination -but it is certainly one of the most beautiful. A countryside of undulating hills, green valleys, forests, waterfalls, lakes and beaches - scenic views in every direction. And the amount of attractions and activities offered to the travellor is just as endless! There are numerous challenging golf courses, beautiful beaches, great boating, hiking, cycling and more than 40 wineries. There are many interesting large and small towns including Yarram, Moe, Morwell, Traralgon, Maffra, Sale and the wonderful seaside towns of the Lakes District including Lakes Entrance, Metung , Paynesville and Mallcoota. "Foodies" are well catered for with the Gippsland Food and Wine Festival whilst the Mirboo North Arty Gras Festival give atristic inspiration for three days of art, music and community activities. Music festivals, agricultural shows and exhibitions, sporting events - there is always something happening in this vibrant region.
