Strath Valley View B&B has been designed with your pleasure in mind. Perfect for couples and families alike. The recently built cottage offers total privacy, with spectacular views of the "Valley of a Thousand Hills".

Come and relax and take in the scenery or get out and enjoy the variety of activities in the area. You won't be disappointed whatever you choose.

Property Description:
This area is one of Victoria's unheralded treasures and thus not too many people come to see this "Valley of a Thousand Hills". Strath Valley View B&B was built to attract new visitors who can now stay a number of days in the comfort and privacy of this fully self-contained cottage, surrounded by this very memorable skyline of endless hills.

The spacious, red cedar cottage occupies an elevated position and features floor to ceiling windows and a country-style front verandah, all of which favour the beautiful landscape. Different seasons add their touch, from the vivid green of early spring to the low lying mists of winter.

The cottage was completed in late 2006 and furnished with quality, modern, country-style furniture and fittings that have been used to reflect a country character but with a sleek finish; from the bathroom with its claw-foot bath to the solid timber dining suite and bedroom furniture. Polished floorboards, comfortable couches, combustion wood fire, plasma television and a fully equipped kitchen, with a Delonghi Nespresso coffee machine, are part of the package, but there are extra details worth mentioning such as quality bath crystals and natural olive oil soaps in the bathroom and (available to purchase) paintings by a local well-known artist on the walls of the main rooms. And for those romantic souls, the main bedroom has french doors which frame the morning sun peeping over the hills.

Recreational Facilities:
Walk to the top of the hill to take in the spectacular 360-degree views of the hills, or go for walk along the creek, where you might try your hand at a bit of fishing or try to catch a yabby or two in the dams.
Spot the wildlife with a variety of kangaroos, wombats, echidnas, kookaburras, parrots and cockatoos that frequent the area in addition to the domestic cows and horses that graze the property.

The main bedroom has a queen size bed while the second bedroom can sleep four, in a double bed and a solid timber bunk set. All beds have electric blankets.

The bathroom features a claw-foot bath, a separate shower and a fashionable, square, hand basin.

The main living room combines the lounge, dining and kitchen areas in an open plan. The room is equipped with a wood fire, reverse cycle air conditioner, a large new plasma television, DVD & video players, a CD/stereo unit with a selection of music and movies to enjoy.

The well-appointed kitchen has a coffee machine, stove, dishwasher, microwave and fridge, while a barbecue can be found on the deck for outdoor cooking. Other facilities include a washing machine and dryer.

Meals

Breakfast: Hearty country breakfast provisions are supplied for each morning with bacon, home-grown eggs, homemade breads and jams, fruit, cereals, juices, coffee (for the machine) and teas. Newspaper delivered to your cottage on weekends.
Dining Options: The cottage has full self-catering facilities and a barbecue or roast pack can be arranged with prior notice. The Strath Creek Pub is only a short walk away and a number of cafes and restaurants are within an easy drive.

Midweek: $150 per night (excluding public holidays)
Extra adults $50 per night, child (5 -15 years) $30 per night.
Weekly Rate: $900
Minimum Stay: Preferred - two nights weekends and midweek, and three nights on holiday weekends. A premium will be charged for shorter stays.
Deposit: 50% or credit card details to confirm booking
Cancellation Terms: A $100 cancellation fee applies where at least 7 days' notice is provided. Less than 7 days' notice - one night's tariff to apply.
